FAQ

What files are needed for mastering?
There are a few options for files when submitting for mastering.
Our preferred option

The most ideal option for the best result and the most control for your mastering is to send the following three things:

-
1 WAV of the Mixed Instrumental
-
1 WAV of the Mixed Acapella
(both equally lowered to peak at no higher than - 6db)
-
1 MP3 of the full mixed song as is.

Place these 3 files in a ZIP folder and upload.
Side note: Its always nice when we receive files properly labeled. Also, you can include the bpm tempo in the instrumental file name. Avoid sending a ZIP file named "Archive" or "For Mastering" we have a million of these. Song name and Artist name works well.

If you can't send the above option... There are alternative options!

If you only have the single MP3 or WAV of the song:
just let us know via the Contact Page. We will check out your song and let you know what can be done.

If you want the additional service of album art embedding the cover art format that is required is: JPEG 300x300 75kb max

What is mastering?
Mastering is the last step and final process in music production. It is your last chance to make sure that your song sounds the best it can be before being released. A professional mastering engineer will critically listen and analyze your song and use the best equalizers, compressors, and processing gear to improve, re balance, correct flaws, edit, and restore your music to its fullest potential, bringing out the details and sparkle in your mix. Expect a fuller, richer, punchier, possibly louder and well balanced master.

How much does it cost?

Probably less than you think. Contact us for a quote for your single, project or whatever you might have.
.

How long will it take?
You will receive your mastered track within 24 - 48 hrs on average.
If you submitted a full project, the best way to estimate time is to give a day per song. Sometimes it can be even quicker, depending on the workload your mastering engineer currently has.

What will I receive?
You will receive your song(s) professionally mastered 24 bit WAV and 320kbps MP3 format in a ZIP folder (unless otherwise requested in order). Expect a fuller, richer, punchier, possibly louder and well balanced master. Ready to be distributed with confidence that it will be sounding it's best on all platforms and audio systems.

Can you embed metadata and IMEI codes?
Yes, we can. By request, you can add the optional service of metadata and IMEI embedding. Check for this option when submitting an order for mastering.

This additional service allows you to embed information like Artist name, Album name, Album art (proper format required), and IMEI codes.
